Zone of uselessness
Alternative name for Instability and abstractness.
The zone of uselessness is the upper-right corner of the Instability and Abstractness map. A package here has a highly abstract public surface while outgoing coupling dominates incoming coupling. That position raises a useful question: do these abstractions have a real job? It does not prove that nobody uses them. Inspect raw Fan-in and Fan-out, actual consumers and implementations, and the package's intended role. A deliberate extension point, plugin contract, or facade may belong here. Speculative or abandoned abstraction may not.
